A New York City high-rise under construction was evacuated Tuesday morning after two of its support columns began buckling, raising concerns over structural instability. Authorities ordered the evacuation of the building and adjacent structures following reports of falling debris.
Footage captured inside the site shows the compromised support beams. In a press conference, Mayor Zohran Mamdani confirmed the building’s ongoing instability.
