A seminary teacher facing allegations of sexually abusing two students sustained injuries after being detained during a police operation in Wazirabad. According to Gujranwala police spokesperson, the individual—identified as suspect ‘A’—attempted to evade arrest during a raid but was later apprehended injured. Authorities cited an ongoing investigation into the abuse allegations, with the Superintendent of Police directing reports from the Saddar division.
In Kamoke town, another suspect apprehended for attempting to rape a five-year-old girl was injured during an attempted escape from police custody. Police stated that suspect ‘S’ resisted arrest after a case was filed against him following the alleged assault on a minor. Documents indicate he was arrested relinquishing following injuries sustained in the confrontation.
Separately, a robbery suspect wanted in at least 40 cases in Gujranwala and Sialkot was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation in Gakhar Mandi town. Officials reported that the individual opened fire during a robbery on July 6, injuring a civilian, and later engaged in a violent exchange with police. The encounter concluded with the suspect killed by gunfire reportedly from his own associates. Investigators have initiated proceedings against the deceased and his unnamed co-accused in multiple jurisdictions.
