Swedish punk band Clutter has announced their debut album, Sugar Rush, and released the energetic new single “Grease Baby.” The track is available for streaming below.
Featured in the NME 100 for 2026, Clutter debuted last year with the EP Clutter Loves You. Their full‑length record is set for release on 2 October through Swedish label PNKSLM Recordings. Pre‑orders are now open.
“Grease Baby” offers a glimpse of the album’s sound—a sunny, high‑octane rocker with gritty guitars and instantly memorable hooks that echo the band’s DIY roots.
Watch the official video for “Grease Baby,” directed by Måns Nyman:
The band describes the song as “a picture of a endless summer vacation, a warm, kraut‑rock‑tinged anthem that blends pop sensibility with a happy‑sad yearning, set against a bright seaside backdrop.”
Produced with Ove Jerndal in a focused session in rural Sweden, vocalist Hilda Alnder explains, “Our previous EP was about growing up. This album is about stepping into adulthood on our own terms—maintaining that youthful spirit while forging our own path.”

NME named Clutter among the most exciting new acts of 2026, noting, “Their sound lives up to the name—deliberately chaotic, fuzzy, loud punk that serves as a playful vehicle for lyrical existentialism and political reflection. Since forming in high school, they’ve become a staple of the local scene, signed to the respected Swedish label PNKSLM, and have begun to attract international attention, supporting Hinds on tour and earning a slot at Pitchfork Festival London.”
