With the Pittsburgh Steelers preparing for their Week 7 matchup in Paris against the New Orleans Saints, the team received encouraging injury news about one of its star players.
Following Mike McCarthy’s optimistic comments regarding T.J. Watt’s calf injury, the star edge rusher was listed as a full participant during Friday’s practice walkthrough and did not carry an injury designation for the Steelers’ Week 7 game.
It was unclear when Watt suffered the calf injury, as he was listed as a non-injury-resting veteran on Wednesday before receiving the additional designation on Thursday. Still, the development was positive and suggested that Watt was cleared to play in Week 7.
Watt was not the only player to receive positive injury news, as several other Steelers who had been dealing with health concerns were cleared for the Week 7 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
