A forthcoming era of mobile technology will turn everyday Americans into “walking cameras” as AI-powered smart glasses continuously monitor everything they see and hear, according to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon.
“6G will transform us into walking cameras because it enables everything we see to be streamed to AI models for instant intelligence,” Amon said on Friday. “And that’s an exciting new device category.”

Qualcomm has also expanded its focus into data centers and AI software, announcing the Dragonfly C1000 processor—claimed to be adopted by Meta—and planning to acquire AI startup Modular.
Meta Wearables Vice President Alex Himel presented the newly released Meta Smart Glasses, emphasizing their AI capabilities, $299 price point, and the design partnership with Kylie Jenner for ‘The Claman Countdown.’
