President Trump honored Ryder Williams, a 16-year-old lifeguard, at the White House following his daring rescue of 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai from the California coast on July 25.
Williams successfully pulled Rai to safety after the boy was carried 15 yards offshore, with nearby beachgoers also contributing to the emergency response.
The White House gathering followed Trump’s announcement of a “High Civilian Honour” for Williams, recognizing his critical role in the operation.
