Tel Aviv Parking Fees to Increase by 20% from August 1

The Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality has announced a 20% rise in parking fees at municipal lots starting August 1, per Kan News reports.

The increase affects facilities managed by Ahuzot HaHof, a wholly owned municipal company responsible for citywide parking operations.

The decision stems from rising operational costs, including wages, security, cleaning, utilities, municipal taxes, and IT infrastructure expenses.

Local residents will retain discounted parking rates and preferential arrangements under the updated pricing structure.

Hourly rates for residents will rise from NIS 5 to NIS 6, while non-residents will pay NIS 24 per hour instead of NIS 20. One-time and evening parking will cost residents NIS 9 (up from NIS 7.50), and non-residents will now pay NIS 36 instead of NIS 30.

At select locations—Basel, Tel Nordau, Bnei Dan, Chen Boulevard, and Gordon—residents will lose 75% parking discounts, now reduced to 50%, with discounted evening rates starting at 9 PM instead of 7 PM.

The Carmel 2 parking facility will remain unaffected, preserving its current payment rules and overnight parking policies.

Residents parking vehicles for over 96 consecutive hours will lose discounted rates and be charged full fees, per the municipality’s planned enforcement after system updates.

Ahuzot HaHof and the municipality emphasized that the new rates remain lower than private parking operators, maintaining affordability for local residents.
