The Bear honored legendary director and actor Rob Reiner in the final episode of its acclaimed FX series.
In the episode, line cook Ebra (Edwin Lee Gibson) calls restaurant consultant Albert Schnurr—played by Reiner—to convey promising news about the restaurant’s future. “Albert, we are in business,” Ebra says over the phone. “It’s perfect. I’ll email you all the documents immediately. Anything else I can do?”
Although Albert does not answer, Ebra pauses, then delivers the line, “As you wish,” a direct quote from Cary Elwes’s Westley in Reiner’s 1987 classic The Princess Bride. The moment serves as a subtle tribute to the late filmmaker.
Reiner previously appeared in a three‑episode arc during the fourth season, portraying Schnurr. His brief on‑screen presence gave fans a nostalgic connection to his storied career.
