The Great Khali has officially retired from active competition, yet he has not entirely ruled out a future WWE appearance. The Hall of Fame inductee confirmed that his in‑ring career is finished, but left the door ajar for a possible one‑off return.
The Great Khali Details What Would Prompt a WWE Comeback
During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Khali stated, “Yeah, I retired.” When questioned about a potential Royal Rumble spot, he responded, “You never know, but I’m not eager to return. If WWE ever asks, ‘Will you come back one day?’ I might consider it — but only for a brief stint of a day or two, not a full‑time schedule. My deteriorating knee prevents me from committing to a regular regimen.”
Khali also discussed his ongoing knee issues. He explained, “I would like to undergo surgery, but my schedule is constantly packed. I’d prefer to handle one procedure first and perhaps address any further needs later.” He noted that climbing stairs remains painful and prolonged standing causes discomfort, adding, “Otherwise I feel fine; I can still train and perform other activities.”
His most recent WWE appearance took place at the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. The last singles match of his WWE career occurred in 2014 on SmackDown, where Rusev emerged victorious.
