The Los Angeles Rams have named an extensive group of players as team captains, making the list of non-captains nearly as long.
The team announced eleven captains for the 2026 season.
The designated leaders include quarterback Matthew Stafford, running back Kyren Williams, wide receiver Davante Adams, tight end Tyler Higbee, center Coleman Shelton, defensive end Myles Garrett, defensive tackle Kobie Turner, linebacker Nate Landman, cornerback Trent McDuffie, safety Quentin Lake, and long snapper Joe Cardona.
It is rare for an NFL franchise to appoint this many players as captains. Regardless of the rationale, the Rams have chosen to place the captain’s emblem on the jerseys of this record-setting group.
Notable omissions from the list include defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who is returning from a two-year retirement, and wide receiver Puka Nacua, widely regarded as one of the league’s top pass-catchers.
