A new faction, The Mog Squad, officially debuted on tonight’s WWE Evolve show, following a recent trademark filing. Last month, WWE had filed to trademark the name ‘The Mog Squad,’ prompting fan speculation about a potential new tag team or faction within the promotion. Many initially believed the name might be intended for the group featuring Blake Monroe and the Vanity Project on NXT television. However, with Blake’s main roster call-up and the subsequent end of that alliance, it became evident the name would be used for a different group.
Tonight on WWE Evolve, The Mog Squad was revealed as a four-man stable led by Max Abrams. The group comprises Abrams, Jacari Ball, CJ Valor, and Santi Rivera, making their introduction on the show just before CJ Valor’s victory over It’s Gal. While all members are relatively new stars within the company, each brings their own wrestling history.
Max Abrams, known outside WWE as Mike Cunningham, is signed to the WWE ID program. He trained at Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory, debuted in 2024, and has competed in various independent promotions such as Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling and 1PW. Jacari Ball, whose real name is Jha’Quan McNair, is another WWE ID talent trained by Team Fearless Training Academy, with his in-ring debut anticipated in 2025. CJ Valor, formerly Jimmy House, began his wrestling career in 2023 and is a two-time and current RWA Champion. Finally, Santi Rivera, whose WWE ring name is Jariel Rivera, is a WWE ID talent trained at the New England Pro Wrestling Academy, having started his in-ring career in 2021.
