The Open R2 Tee Times and Groupings Revealed for Royal Birkdale Championship

The groupings and tee times for the second round of The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale in Southport, Merseyside, have been announced.

A record-breaking attendance is expected as the final men’s major of the year unfolds, with Scottie Scheffler returning as defending champion and aiming to become the first player since Padraig Harrington to win back-to-back Open Championships.

Scheffler will compete in the afternoon wave on Friday alongside Tyrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeau, as he seeks to secure his place in the weekend rounds. Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy starts in the morning wave at 10.09am alongside Matt Fitzpatrick and Xander Schauffele, hoping to add a second Open title to his career.
