Police have charged a third teenager in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15‑year‑old boy who was discovered outside a Melbourne hospital.

The 14‑year‑old, a resident of Victoria’s Hume area, was arrested on Friday evening and charged with murder.

He is scheduled to appear before a children’s court.

Darweish Mohamed, a Mickleham teenager, was found critically wounded outside Craigieburn Community Hospital in Melbourne’s north at around 7:50 pm on Wednesday.

A staff member from the clinic rushed to his aid and administered CPR, but he died at the comarca.

Police arrested two individuals in the nearby suburb of Pascoe Vale early Thursday.

A 16‑year‑old resident of the Goulburn Valley was charged with murder and remanded in custody, with a hearing scheduled before a children’s court.

A 20‑year‑old man from Beveridge faced charges of criminal damage by fire and was released on bail, with a court appearance set for December 1 at Broadmeadows Magistrates Court.

A burnt‑out car recovered at Oaklands Junction has been linked to the stabbing.

Later on Friday, police announced a second murder charge was lodged against a 15‑year‑old boy from the Craigieburn area.

He will also appear before a children’s court.

A 15‑year‑old girl from the Fawkner area has been charged with affray and motor‑vehicle theft, and was released on bail pending a later appearance before the children’s court.

Darweish’s loved ones are asking the community to keep him in their prayers.

Family friend Mohamed Bakhit has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for funeral expenses.

The fundraiser page reads: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Darweish.”

The page also states, “No family should ever have to experience a loss such as this, and our hearts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”

By Saturday morning, the campaign had raised over $54,000 toward a target of $60,000.

It urges those unable to contribute to keep Darweish and his family in their du’as, an Arabic term for a form of Islamic prayer.

The Victoria education department confirmed it would provide support to affected school communities.
