Engineering England Suffered By A String Of Injuries As Tuchel Details Arsenal Defender’s Setback
Ezri Konsa Has Picked Up An Injury On England Duty, And Has Gone Back To Arsenal For Treatment, Thomas Tuchel Has Confirmed.
It’s been a bad England camp for injuries.
A cluster of five players were denied the original call‑up owing to existing fitness issues. Since this extended break began three weeks ago, multiple further withdrawals have occurred. The biggest news arrived this early, with the severe development that Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has sustained a “serious thigh problem” on his international debut, leaving him to possibly miss two months.
However, this was followed by further confirmation of difficulties within the squad. Thomas Tuchel spoke about Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa and revealed there is a problem with him as well.
Tuchel Confirms Arsenal Defender Has Returned To His Club For Treatment

“Ezri felt discomfort when he came into camp, played with it against Spain and it got a bit worse so he stayed in camp and tried everything for the match against Czechia and it came too soon,” Tuchel explained in quotes picked up by Hayters.
“He tried everything for the game in Croatia, got the green light and came through all the training sessions so was ready to play. Unfortunately, he got another hit on the quad and that caused a light trauma and we decided not to let him play through this pain. So he left camp to get treatment for both his issues now. I think nothing major but not worth the risk taking.”
It sounds like the defender will likely miss Arsenal’s game this weekend, but shouldn’t be out for much longer than that.
