PESHAWAR: Three police officers suffered minor injuries on Friday when a quadcopter, carrying an explosive-filled energy drink bottle, collided with a police post in the Spina Maila area of the Hassankhel subdivision, according to a senior official.
SSP Operations Farhan Khan informed reporters that the explosion was orchestrated by unidentified terrorists.
“The attack resulted in injuries to three police personnel. The injured officers, identified as Constables Niaz Amin, Daud, and Ziaullah, have been transported to a hospital,” Khan stated. He added that police and security agencies have secured the site and launched a search operation.
Officials noted that further details will be released as the situation develops.
This suspected quadcopter strike marks the fifth such incident reported in the region.
