The title change coincides with reports that Santana’s TNA contract is nearing expiration, with WWE reportedly interested in signing him.
Given the circumstances, it seems unlikely that TNA would strip Santana of the title unless he is departing the promotion, suggesting a near‑future WWE appearance.
