TNA has officially unveiled a new championship during the pre-show of tonight’s Slammiversary event.
Earlier this week, Fightful Select reported that TNA had been considering the addition of a new women’s midcard championship.
For more than two decades, the Knockouts division has been a cornerstone of TNA programming, and the promotion has now introduced a fresh title to the roster.
TNA Introduces the Knockouts Television Championship
After the bout featuring Elayna Black, Mara Sade, and Indi Hartwell on the Slammiversary pre-show, TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks appeared as Mara and Indi prepared to exit.
Traci Brooks then announced the formation of the TNA Knockouts Television Championship, as shown below.
A 16‑woman tournament will launch next week on TNA IMPACT, with the victor becoming the inaugural Knockouts Television Champion; the title will be defended exclusively on that program.

Later tonight at Slammiversary, the current Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee will defend her title against former tag‑team partner Xia Brookside.
Who Might Claim the Inaugural Knockouts Television Title?
As the tournament kicks off on the upcoming TNA IMPACT episode, the identity of the first champion will soon be revealed.
The division boasts several rising talents—such as Indi Hartwell, Elayna Black, Mara Sade, and Jada Stone—each of whom would make a strong inaugural champion.
Should TNA prefer a more seasoned competitor, candidates like Ash by Elegance, Rosemary, and Tasha Steels are also viable options.
Additionally, several free‑agent women’s wrestlers—including Charlie (Dakota Kai), Shotzi Blackheart, and Kay Lee Ray—are available and could be brought into the tournament.
As women’s wrestling gains momentum worldwide, adding more championships and raising the profile of the division will provide greater visibility for emerging talent.
