On October 3, residents of Ulladulla, New South Wales captured footage of a rare tornado sweeping through the town. The Australian Bureau of Meteorology attributed the phenomenon to severe thunderstorms, noting that tornadoes are extremely uncommon in such densely populated areas. The event resulted in property damage and the toppling of several trees, according to the Bureau’s report.
