[Trailblazers Motorcycle Club Selects Eight Legends for 2027 Hall of Fame Class]
The Trailblazers Motorcycle Club Board of Directors convened at the Motorcycle Industry Council headquarters in Irvine, California, on Tuesday, June 16th, to deliberate and vote on nominees for the 2027 Hall of Fame induction. From a competitive pool of 20 candidates, eight individuals were selected to join the prestigious ranks, with their honors to be formally celebrated at the Carson Center in Carson, California, during a landmark Sunday ceremony on April 4, 2027.
The newly elected Hall of Fame inductees represent diverse contributions to motorcycle culture and racing excellence. Pat Alexander brings 43 years of service with U.S. Suzuki and extensive race team involvement. Brad Andres earned recognition as a three-time Daytona 200 winner and 1955 AMA Grand National Champion. Mark Johnson contributed four decades of leadership spanning both two- and four-wheel motorsports organizations. Rick Johnson stands among history’s most accomplished motocross and supercross competitors. Gunnar Lindstrom made his mark as a 1960s Swedish motocross rider who established permanent roots in American racing. John Ulrich revolutionized track safety through his advocacy for widespread Airfence adoption. Eddie Cole, founder of Answer Products, will additionally receive the Earl & Lucile Flanders Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jody Nicholas, already a Hall of Fame member, will be presented with the distinguished Dick Hammer Award in acknowledgment of his career as a nationally ranked AMA Pro Racer during the 1960s and 70s, which was briefly interrupted by three years of service as a Navy pilot in Vietnam.
