Trevon Diggs topped the NFL with 11 interceptions in 2021, earning All‑Pro recognition and establishing himself among the league’s premier cornerbacks in just his second year. He started all 17 games in 2022, collected a second Pro Bowl selection, and inked a five‑year, $97 million contract extension during the 2023 offseason.
Since that extension, Diggs has appeared in 22 games while undergoing three separate knee procedures.
Turning 28 next month, Diggs is confident he can thrive again within Mike Macdonald’s versatile, attack‑oriented scheme. He recently agreed to a one‑year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
“It looks amazing,” Diggs said, via Gregg Bell of The News Tribune. “They consistently get to the quarterback, create turnovers, and do everything right. I’m excited about the chance to be part of that.”
“I’m determined to prove I remain among the elite and that my sole focus is winning.”
Diggs suffered an ACL tear in September 2023, followed by another knee procedure in December 2024. In January 2025 he underwent a chondral tissue and bone‑graft operation on his left knee to address lingering cartilage damage.
Diggs, Seahawks outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence and cornerback Noah Igbinoghene previously played together in Dallas, and Seattle’s defensive coordinator Aden Durde served as the Cowboys’ defensive line coach during Diggs’ tenure there. That shared history gave him confidence that Seattle was the right fit.
“After speaking with those teammates, they told me it was an excellent fit,” Diggs said of Seattle. “Everything they’re building there appeals to me, and I’d love to contribute.”
