Trump rejected the proposal and has floated the possibility of launching extensive air strikes against Iranian targets, yet he told Axios that he expects talks to resume.
Speaking to Axios, Trump said, “They want to reach an agreement, but it isn’t the one I’m seeking. It’s the deal we might have settled on a year ago.”
