President Donald Trump ordered that Lake Ontario be renamed Lake America, the latest escalation in his ongoing dispute with Canada.
In the Oval Office on Thursday, Trump signed an order requiring the U.S. Interior Department to update geographic information systems to change the name of the lake, which is located between New York and Canada. He stated that Canadian government officials playing hardball on trade are “nasty people.”
