TRUMP ANNOUNCES END TO BOMBARDIER’S AVIAELE SALES IN THE UNITED STATES
Canadian aviation giant Bombardier can no longer sell its aircraft in the United States, US President Donald Trump announced on Monday via Truth Social.
“NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES!” Trump declared, characterizing the company’s product line as insufficient.
He added that more than half of Bombardier’s revenue derives from the US market, noting that Canada had been blocking “GREAT American Banks, and Companies, throughout the U.S.A.”
“Ottawa previously blocked US aircraft manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace from conducting business in Canada,” Trump continued, condemning the decision as “completely unjust and unfair!”
“If they want our market, they must build here and stop treating America like a ‘piggybank.’ BUY AMERICAN. FLY ON AMERICAN AIRLINERS. ENJOY AMERICAN LIQUOR AND BEVERAGES. SAIL ON LAKE AMERICA. AMERICA FIRST!”
The US and Canada have been locked in a prolonged trade conflict, prompting Trump during his remarks to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America” in retaliation for what he describes as decades-long exploitation by Canadian partners.
