WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Friday that he expects the conflict with Iran to conclude soon, though he offered no specifics on how that would be achieved. Speaking in an interview with Kansas City radio station KCMO ahead of the November 3 midterm congressional elections, Trump stated, “This file will be closed soon. We need to ensure there is never a nuclear weapon.” He also confirmed that the United States would not carry out a military strike against Iran before the elections.
