One of the major highlights of the 250th anniversary celebration is a large 16‑day State Fair.
Scheduled from June 25 through July 10, the fair will stretch across the National Mall between the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument.
According to Freedom 250, the president will headline the fair’s opening ceremony.
The exposition will feature all 56 U.S. states and territories, organizers of Freedom 250 said.
Originally planned was the Great American State Fair concert series, but it was cancelled after several scheduled performers withdrew.
Artists such as Martina McBride, The Commodores, Young MC and Bret Michaels later withdrew, citing the event’s White House connection.
Some claimed they were unaware of the event’s ties to Freedom 250.
In response, Trump cancelled the musical acts and announced on social media that he would host “the Greatest Rally, EVER!” branding it the “Rally to End All Rallies,” and indicating that a few artists would still appear.
He said Lee Greenwood, known for “God Bless the USA,” would introduce him, and tenor Christopher Macchio would also perform.
“We don’t want ‘singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep,’” Trump posted on Truth Social, adding, “All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played—the same Music you have listened to for years!”
On Tuesday afternoon, country singer Alexis Wilkins—who is the long‑time partner of FBI Director Kash Patel—announced she would perform at the event scheduled for Wednesday.
