Gujranwala: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) announced the arrest of two human traffickers who are wanted in 13 cases, among them the 2020 murder of an illegal immigrant.
An FIA spokesperson stated that a proclaimed offender, identified as Zaafran Abbas, has been arrested in eight related cases. According to the official, Abbas allegedly extorted Rs100,000 from a client to facilitate illegal migration to Turkey in 2020. The client was routed through an unauthorized border crossing in Iran, and has not been reachable since February 12, 2020, when the Pakistani embassy later confirmed his death.
In a related development, the FIA also apprehended Basheer, a resident of Gujrat who was wanted in five separate cases.
