WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder, a minor league affiliate of the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League’s San Jose Barracuda, has re-signed defenseman Tyler Jette for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Jette, 28, will enter his fourth season with Wichita. Originally from Farmington, Minnesota, he has recorded 19 points (4 goals, 15 assists) across 134 games while wearing the Thunder uniform.
Prior to turning professional, Jette accumulated 28 points (5 goals, 23 assists) in 87 career games during his collegiate tenure at Lakehead University. Additionally, he contributed two assists in nine playoff games with Lakehead during the 2023-24 campaign.
Before joining Lakehead, Jette spent two seasons competing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. During the 2018-19 season, he served as team captain and achieved a personal best with 27 points (5 goals, 22 assists) in 45 games.
