U.S. forces launched a new round of strikes inside Iran on Tuesday, officials said, extending an operation that had been paused since a temporary ceasefire ended weeks ago.
Central Command stated the strikes were executed in response to Iranian attempts to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and recent confrontations involving U.S. service members throughout the Middle East.
