On behalf of the citizens of the United States, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to the people of the Republic of Ecuador as they celebrate the 217th anniversary of their independence. Our two nations maintain a historic and resilient partnership that continues to grow stronger each year.
Through collaborative efforts, we have strengthened our cooperation in combating transnational crime and narcoterrorism, promoted equitable and reciprocal trade, and established new agreements regarding critical minerals and civil nuclear energy. Ecuador’s active leadership within the Shield of the Americas and the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition highlights our collective commitment to a prosperous and free Western Hemisphere.
On this momentous occasion, we honor the enduring spirit of the Ecuadorian people and look forward to further strengthening our partnership in the years to come.
