WASHINGTON, July 21 (Reuters) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) officials reported completion of its 11th consecutive day of military operations targeting Iran.
CENTCOM stated the strikes focused on Iranian military command centers, naval assets, aircraft storage facilities, drone depots, and supply chain networks.
The offensive operations were designed to “diminish” Iran’s capacity to endanger commercial traffic through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
According to CENTCOM data, Iranian forces have launched attacks against over 30 merchant ships navigating the strait.
“These provocative actions pose serious risks to civilian sailors and violate international navigation rights,” the command emphasized.
