In a significant development, U.S. military forces conducted airstrikes on Iranian missile launch sites within the strategic Strait of Hormuz, marking the first publicly acknowledged offensive operation against Iranian forces in nearly a month as the Trump administration manages an increasingly fragile ceasefire agreement.
According to U.S. Navy Captain Tim Hawkins, Central Command spokesperson, Iranian military units were actively preparing to launch rockets from Larak Island in southern Iran.
