Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov today, reviewing the advancement of the U.S.–Azerbaijan partnership following President Trump’s landmark Armenia–Azerbaijan peace agreement of August 8, 2025. Rubio praised Bayramov for Azerbaijan’s continued dedication to peace with Armenia. The two officials also reviewed recent strides in bilateral economic cooperation, noting several new commercial agreements signed between American and Azerbaijani firms.
