A strategic artificial intelligence partnership between the United Kingdom and Ukraine has been formalized, marking a significant step forward in military technology development and bilateral cooperation. The agreement, signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Andy Burnham during a ceremony in Kyiv, grants the UK access to Ukraine’s Avengers AI Labs—a repository of real-world battlefield data.

This intelligence serves as foundational material for training next-generation AI models tailored to modern warfare scenarios.

This bilateral framework focuses initially on leveraging combined strengths in national security. By uniting British technological prowess with Ukrainian field experience, both nations aim to establish an integrated AI task force capable of addressing evolving defense challenges. Several pilot projects have already commenced involving three leading British startups—Sintela from Bristol, Mind Foundry based in Oxford, and Skyral located in London.
