Ukraine President Links Russia’s New Attack Strikes to Regional Escalation
In a recent statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a compelling warning about the potential for a significant escalation from Russia. He emphasized that Moscow might be in the process of planning a strategic and large-scale counterattack targeting Ukraine.
Zelenskyy conveyed this message through social media, urging the public to remain vigilant and prepare for possible air raid alerts. He reaffirmed the commitment of Ukraine’s air defense forces to work tirelessly throughout the night to protect the nation.
Recent developments have raised concerns, as Russia has reportedly deployed advanced medium-range ballistic missiles in multiple incursions over Kyiv. These strikes have been preceded by a significant number of conventional weapons, including over 90 missiles and 600 drones, as noted by Ukrainian authorities.
Adding to the urgency, Zelenskyy has emphasized the critical role of international support, specifically highlighting the need for increased delivery of Patriot missile systems from the United States. He reiterated his persistent efforts to secure modern defense assets to safeguard Ukraine’s sovereignty.
