The United Nations announced it is expanding its relief operations after two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, warning that the disaster will exacerbate an already severe humanitarian crisis. In an interview with Al Jazeera, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said hundreds of UN personnel are now involved in the response and that recovery efforts are expected to continue for months.
