Kevin Rudd, president of the Asia Society and former Australian prime minister, characterized the US-China strategic competition as all-encompassing across multiple domains during a Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics event on Friday.
“A comprehensive strategic contest is unfolding in all areas of national power and influence—including military, economic, trade, investment, technology, foreign policy, and ideology,” said Rudd, a distinguished China scholar.
“This rivalry spans the globe, impacting every sector and region simultaneously.”
