US Ambassador Mike Waltz said in an interview that America will continue targeting Iran’s military infrastructure if Tehran threatens shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, Anadolu.

Waltz emphasized that the Iranian regime would be mistaken to assume President Trump would remain passive while Iran attacks international shipping or our bases, noting they recognized this reality clearly in recent nights.

He added that the United States would, if necessary, take military action to dismantle Iran’s infrastructure being used to illegally control an international waterway.

On Saturday, US Central Command confirmed carrying out strikes against multiple targets in Iran following Tehran’s recent attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responded by launching missile and drone strikes against eight US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain.

On June 18, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding to pursue a lasting peace agreement, with implementation talks beginning on June 21 to end the conflict.
