June 19 (Reuters) – The planned diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran at Switzerland’s Burgenstock mountain resort will not proceed as scheduled for Friday, as announced by the Swiss Foreign Ministry.
Following reports from a White House spokesperson regarding Vice President JD Vance’s withdrawal from a planned meeting with Iranian negotiators in Switzerland on Friday to discuss the implementation of a prior Iran-Washington agreement aimed at ending hostilities, the event has been called off. Details surrounding the reason for the cancellation remain unclear at this time.
