Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was removed from the court on a stretcher after suffering what appeared to be a side or abdominal injury during an NBA Summer League contest against the Chicago Bulls.
Alexander, who recently joined Utah on a two-way deal, made contact with the Bulls’ Caleb Wilson while driving to the rim during Monday night’s game. After releasing a shot, Alexander moved behind the basket while clutching his abdomen before collapsing to the floor in visible distress.
The 23-year-old was transported from the Thomas & Mack Center court via stretcher with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. As of now, the Jazz have not released an official update regarding the severity of his injury.
Alexander played three seasons at Creighton University before opting to turn professional. The former G League Rookie of the Year for the 2024-2025 season previously appeared in 24 games for the Denver Nuggets and nine games for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Under the terms of his new contract, Alexander is slated to split time between the Jazz and their G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.
