More than ten days after Venezuela was hit by two successive earthquakes, the death toll remains uncertain, with an official count of at least 3,342 fatalities. In the hardest‑hit northern coastal region, survivors and volunteers nationwide are stepping in to treat the injured, provide shelter, and search for missing persons.
