On the eve of their Resort 2027 collection “Shape Shifter,” sisters‑in‑law Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard are preparing to open their first Paris outpost—its 50th store worldwide—on the prestigious Rue François‑I. Timing could not be more perfect for a line infused with tweed.

This latest offering aligns with Paris’s ongoing effort to revitalize a classic fabric. Veronica Beard proposes transforming it into an oversized white jacket and slouchy shorts, both featuring black contrast piping; a miniskirt set with a gold‑trimmed collar; and pointed ballet flats finished with a rounded leather toe cap.

Even so, the collection retains iconic Veronica Beard staples, especially the signature dicky—a detail that Parisian women have long coveted. “Dickies are a big deal for us because they don’t have them right now,” Miele Beard said, “so we wanted to make a statement.” Rather than a sporty hoodie, the Resort 2027 look features an oversized knit scarf knotted at the neck.

Veronica Beard also preserves its American sportswear heritage. An electric‑blue chore coat, crafted from a techno‑twist fabric, showcases a subtle sheen reminiscent of taffeta. Swanson Beard notes, “We love the subtle shine—it feels almost like taffeta.” The outerwear line balances European aspiration with American roots, highlighted by reversible funnel‑neck jackets that switch between classic khaki and bold houndstooth accented with cobalt.
