Oracle, Adobe, FedEx and GameStop are the headline names on this week’s earnings calendar, as investors look for fresh signals on technology spending, consumer demand and overall business momentum.
Oracle and Adobe are expected to draw the most attention due to their technology‑focused businesses and evolving AI monetization strategies. FedEx may offer insight into broader economic activity, whereas GameStop tends to be driven more by market volatility than fundamentals.
Earnings Calendar Highlight This Week
With all four companies reporting after the market close, traders could see notable price swings in ORCL, ADBE, FDXF and GME once earnings and forward guidance are published.
Oracle Corporation (ORCL)
- Event: Q1 FY2027 earnings announcement
- Timing: After market close (AMC)
- Expected EPS: $1.74
- Oracle continues to attract close scrutiny due to its rapid cloud infrastructure expansion and increasing involvement in AI‑related spending.
- Investors will monitor cloud growth, capital expenditure, margins and forward guidance.
- Strong results could lift ORCL shares, whereas disappointing guidance might renew concerns about its substantial infrastructure investments and financing needs.
Adobe Inc. (ADBE)
- Event: Q3 FY2026 earnings announcement
- Timing: After market close (AMC)
- Expected EPS: $6.09
- Adobe’s earnings will offer an important update on demand for its creative and enterprise software offerings.
- Investors will likely look at recurring revenue, digital media growth and the monetization of new AI‑powered features.
- Expectations remain high, so even a solid earnings beat could fall short if guidance disappoints.
FedEx Freight Holding Company, Inc. (FDXF)
- Event: Q1 FY2027 earnings announcement
- Timing: After market close (AMC)
- Expected EPS: $0.89
- The logistics firm will provide insight into freight demand, shipping volumes and broader economic activity.
- Investors will also watch cost controls and margins as transportation firms navigate uneven demand.
GameStop Corp. (GME)

Forex Signals Update
Last week, markets swung sharply again, with gold climbing to $4,890 before pulling back this week. EUR/USD slipped to 1.15, while major indices ended the week higher at fresh highs. Although the moves were modest, we issued 34 trading signals total, finishing with 23 winners and 9 losers.
Gold Rebounds Off the 100 SMA Level
Gold prices swung wildly during the week, closing significantly lower after an early rally lost steam. The metal rose above $4,300 early on, then reversed sharply, finishing almost $100 below its recent peak as investors reassessed interest‑rate expectations and global risk sentiment.
The drop was mainly driven by a stronger U.S. dollar, higher Treasury yields, and weaker demand for safe‑haven assets after positive geopolitical news from the Middle East. Even so, gold stays above the key $4,000 support level that underpins the longer‑term bullish trend, though that support is now under pressure.
MAs Hold as Support for USD/JPY
Foreign exchange markets experienced sharp swings early in the week, as U.S. yield differentials and Japanese capital outflows pushed the dollar above ¥150, but disappointing U.S. jobs data triggered profit‑taking, pulling USD/JPY back about four yen from its high. Despite a weaker BOJ stance that sent the pair up to ¥154, we closed our buy signal after gaining over 80 pips, as USD/JPY found support at the 20‑day SMA (gray) and rebounded more than 200 pips from that level. The pair later slipped after a 25‑bps Fed rate cut, rose to around ¥164, then reversed following the BOJ meeting, dropping seven cents and breaking below the 100‑day SMA (red), which had previously acted as support.

Cryptocurrency Update
Bitcoin Faces the 50 SMA Holds as Resistance
Cryptocurrencies stayed very active throughout the summer. Bitcoin (BTC) reached fresh highs of $123,000 and then $124,000 in July and August, buoyed by institutional inflows and technical strength. However, comments from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent ruling out any U.S. increase in Bitcoin reserves sparked a sharp pullback, pushing the price down to $80K before it found support at the 100‑week SMA (green). A rebound followed, lifting BTC toward $100K, but the price later fell back below $80K, breaking beneath the 100‑week SMA. The decline halted at the $60K level, where the 200‑week SMA (purple) provided support, and BTC bounced back above $80K.

Ethereum Returns Above $2,000
Ethereum (ETH) has shown similar strength, climbing toward $4,800 — its highest level since 2021 and close to its all‑time peak of $4,860. After a dip last week, ETH found support at the 20‑day SMA, with retail enthusiasm and renewed institutional interest driving fresh upside. Although the price briefly fell below $2,000, buyers stepped in and pushed it back above $2,000.
