On Friday, the wheat market posted modest declines across most contracts. Chicago SRW futures slipped 11 to 13 cents in the front‑month series, while Kansas City HRW futures fell 8 to 10½ cents for nearby deliveries. Minneapolis spring wheat also retreated by 8 cents in its near‑term contracts.
According to the latest Export Sales data, weekly wheat sales totaled 5.522 million metric tons, representing a 16% year‑over‑year decrease. This figure accounts for 26% of the USDA’s projected export volume and falls short of the 28% five‑year average.
FranceAgriMer now rates French soft‑wheat conditions at 74% good to excellent, a decline of two percentage points from the previous week, with 7% of the crop already harvested. Similarly, the durum crop is assessed at 58% good to excellent, down six points week‑over‑week, and 19% of the harvest is complete.

September 26 CBOT wheat was quoted at $5.90 1/4, slipping 11 1/4 cents.
