Wheat contracts rose across all three major exchanges on Tuesday, with Chicago SRW up 2 to 4 cents, Kansas City HRW gaining 1 to 2¼ cents, and Minneapolis spring wheat advancing 7 to 8¼ cents by midday.
On Monday, President Trump urged Ukraine to cease strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, noting that the Kremlin appeared receptive to the proposal. Ukraine responded that it would halt such attacks provided Russia reciprocates.
According to the weekly NASS Crop Progress report, 93% of the U.S. spring wheat crop had been harvested by Sunday, putting it one percentage point ahead of the typical pace. Meanwhile, winter wheat planting stood at 8% completion, four points behind the five‑year average.
France’s farm ministry projected 2026 wheat output at 31.7 million metric tons, a reduction of 0.2 million tons from the prior month’s estimate. Separately, Algeria issued a tender for Tuesday that resulted in the purchase of roughly 500,000 metric tons of wheat.

March 2027 CBOT wheat was quoted at $7.41¼, gaining 2 cents.
December 2026 KCBT wheat stood at $7.94¾, up 2¼ cents.
March 2027 KCBT wheat traded at $8.08¼, rising 1½ cents.
December 2026 MIAX wheat was priced at $7.44½, advancing 8¼ cents.
March 2027 MIAX wheat traded at $7.64½, up 7 cents.
