WHEELING, W.Va. — The Wheeling Nailers have announced the signing of forward Ryan Pitoscia for the 2026‑27 season.

Pitoscia, 25, is embarking on his second professional season after a rookie campaign with the Jacksonville Icemen. Initially signed by the Indy Fuel, he was later transferred to Jacksonville, where he made his pro debut on November 8. He notched his first career goal a week later in a 2‑1 win over Atlanta on November 15, finishing the season with 13 points (seven goals, six assists) across 53 games.

Before turning pro, the Oakville, Ontario native spent four seasons playing college hockey at Adrian College. During each of those seasons with the Bulldogs, he reached double‑digit goal totals and recorded at least 20 points. His career‑high 15 goals came in 2021‑22, the same year Adrian captured the NCAA Division III National Championship. Pitoscia’s 15th and final goal of that season arrived in the third period of the championship game, putting the Bulldogs ahead 4‑2 in their eventual 5‑2 victory over Geneseo State. He concluded his collegiate career with 104 points (56 goals, 48 assists) in 117 games.
