The presidential physician has confirmed that US President Donald Trump remains in “excellent health” following his annual medical examination at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.
During his visit earlier this week, the President underwent a comprehensive series of cardiac, respiratory, and neurological evaluations, among other tests.
In a memo released by the White House on Friday, Capt. Sean Barbabella, the official physician, stated that the results demonstrate the president is “fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
“President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function,” the memo noted, adding that his demanding schedule of high-level meetings, public appearances, and regular physical activity continues to support his well-being.
Capt. Barbabella further emphasized that the president’s cognitive and physical performance are “excellent.”
Following the Tuesday examination, Trump took to Truth Social to boast that “everything checked out perfectly.”
Medical records indicate the president weighed 238 pounds (approximately 108 kg), an increase from his weight last year. Consequently, Barbabella’s memo mentioned providing the president with preventative counseling and guidance regarding diet and ongoing weight loss efforts.
