White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced her departure from the administration at the end of the month, President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday.

Leavitt, who previously served as a press aide during President Trump’s first term, has emerged as one of the most prominent voices supporting the former president’s “Make America Great Again” movement. The president called her one of his “most trusted aides” in a social media post announcing her departure.
Trump explained that Leavitt will leave her role “so she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family, a decision I totally understand and respect!”
