Reports of Spotify malfunctions began to escalate at 9:45 a.m. EDT on Tuesday. According to Down Detector, a service that monitors real-time user complaints, reports surged to 4,600 by 10:25 a.m.
The majority of reported issues centered on app functionality, with over 50% of users experiencing problems. Additionally, 24% reported failures in audio streaming, while 15% indicated an inability to connect to Spotify’s servers.
As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Spotify had not issued an official statement regarding the outage via its status page or its official X account.
