Wildfire in Southern Norway Razes Over 100 Homes, Displaces Hundreds
Drammen reported a large wildfire that began in a townhouse on Friday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., rapidly spreading to nearby forests and destroying more than 100 residential structures. Authorities confirmed that hundreds of residents were evacuated to emergency centers as firefighters worked through Saturday to contain the blaze. No casualties or missing individuals have been reported, though the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The affected area lies approximately 34 kilometers southwest of Oslo.
