Wildfire Smoke From Canada Hits Air Quality Ahead of World Cup Final

Over 800 wildfires are currently active across Canada, with roughly 190 of them in northern Ontario. Experts largely link the outbreak to climate change. Dense smoke has degraded air quality to hazardous levels in multiple regions of Canada and several U.S. states, including Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan and New York. U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized Canada’s forest management and warned of possible new tariffs.
